Job Description
ACCIONA is looking for entry level engineers to start your career at ACCIONA, being involved in different projects from day one, and accompanied by experts who will help you develop your skills and participate in the day to day of a global company. These Projects are located in Manila, Pampanga and Laguna.

REQUIREMENTS

Other requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
  • Establish and steward overall delivery work plans
  • Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied
  • Competent in planning and organizing work schedules
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same
  • Clear communication – verbal and written
  • Preferably 0 – 1 year experience

Responsibilities:

Quality, Environmental and Safety:

  • Provides positive leadership to subcontractors, monitors and controls their performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures
  • Ensures non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possible
  • Completes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority within scope of works.
  • Understands the basic audit processes and is able to audit ACCIONA projects and suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Disseminates and adheres to environmental and safety plans for project and communicates them to project team members including suppliers and project Subcontractors
  • Understands the basis and value of WH&S committee and attends site safety meetings on a periodic basis
  • Monitors recommendations from WH&S Committee and acts promptly on issues raised
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the process of incident/ accident prevention and incident/ accident reporting
  • Participates in the preparation of work activity assessments in terms of risk analysis/ safe work method statements procedures
  • Assesses high risk activities and in conjunction with appropriate personnel recommend approach to be taken
  • Reports accidents and incidents to Superiors on the Project in line with procedures set down and provide for the appropriate support to manage such
  • Liaises with Project Engineer or Safety Team to assist in the expeditious resolution of issues

Planning and Operations:

  • Assists with identifying which Authorities are appropriate for obtaining approvals with specific project work and inter-relationships between Authorities
  • Demonstrates a working understanding of Project Management Systems
  • Ensures the delegated scope of works meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost and quality.
  • Provides input for the preparation of the short, medium- and long-term planning of the program works
  • Monitors the progress of work and advises the Project Engineer of significant changes and proposed remedial action
  • Makes decisions and actions all correspondence in a timely manner

Scheduling and Reporting:

  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems on a daily basis
  • Assist with preparing project status reports and change orders
  • Report on a daily basis any program delay affecting critical path

Resourcing:

  • Responsible and accountable to ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied at work crew level

Innovation:

  • Safety – Develop ideas to make the workplace a safer place
  • Cost – Improve efficiency on site
  • Program – Accelerate the program by implementing a new technique(s)

Communication:

  • Regularly contributes to team/toolbox meetings and performs as a member of the team
  • Demonstrates awareness of employee relations issues and potential risks
  • Ensures Project Engineer is kept informed of all onsite issues relating to personnel matters

Financial:

  • Assist with cost control for certain scope of works
  • Complete basic estimating exercises and prepares take offs as requested
  • Develops an awareness of standard forms of contract and key contractual clauses
  • Understands the roles and obligations of various parties under contracts and participates as delegated
  • Collates and provides records of variations and advises on variations where costs are in dispute
  • Provides feedback on individual subcontractor’s monthly claims or statements as required
  • Monitors controls for cost recoveries from subcontractors
  • Notifies, maintains and collates records in the event of a potential insurance claim
  • Report any misconducts to your Line Manager e. g. a subcontractor approaching with money
