We are currently seeking an early career Graduate Finance Analyst to join our team based at our Port Melbourne facility on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent developmental opportunity for a recent graduate looking to grow and develop their career in a professional Accounting role. You will be well supported and trained by our experienced Finance team members to give you the opportunity to shine.
Put your university studies into practice and gain hands-on Accounting experience into the fast-paced global aerospace industry. Please note that this isn’t a Graduate Program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related degree is essential
  • Completed pre-requisite subjects to undertake CPA or CA qualifications (assistance provided)
  • Previous IBL / Internship / Work Placement experience in Accounting / Finance would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of budgeting / forecasting and Accounting Standards
  • Knowledge of cost management, accounting and financial reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proactive and results oriented approach
  • Full, unrestricted Australian working rights

Reporting to the Finance Manager, as the Graduate Finance Analyst, you will learn to collaborate with Finance stakeholders and business leaders to gain a deep understanding of BAA and the core functions they represent. You will build your skills and experience to become a trusted business partner, providing reporting and financial tools / analysis including:

  • Preparation of financial information for Financial month end & internal reporting
  • Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and reporting for support functions
  • Preparation of data for invoicing
  • Review, monitoring and action of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the business with Accounts Payable questions
  • Proactively manage opportunities, risks and issues with stakeholders
  • Analyze performance to plan and recommend improvement initiatives
  • Seek to drive efficiencies in existing processes through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collation of information for statutory reporting, audit, insurance, business surveys
  • Provide finance training to customers as required
  • Learning finance tools (SAP & TM1
