ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Graduate Administrator in a PhD environment
- Demonstrated experience in allocation and administration of PhD funding packages
- Basic to medium knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office 365, ACORN/ROSI.
- Experience managing admissions and recruitment of students in a PhD environment
- Experience contacting external examiners for final oral exams in a PhD environment
- Experience coordinating travel arrangements
- Experience with eMarks processing
- Familiarity with SGS graduate policies and procedures.
- Basic proficiency with SLATE
- Basic knowledge administering postdoctoral fellowships and their dossier.
Responsibilities:
- Advising students on academic and/or financial matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual’s background.
- Analyzing and making recommendations on PHD award funding allocation
- Preparing Graduate supervision Awards, stipends, and TA hours allocation.
- Providing detailed information on PHD program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines.
- Verifying that students have access to courses in student information systems.
- Reviewing and approving changes to program requirements for exceptional cases.
- Preparing and analyzing statistical information to inform enrollment projections and planning.
- Organize the PHD student recruitment session.
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements.
- Preparing the dossier of Postdoctoral fellows.
