Graduate - New Energy (m/f/d)
to join our 2-year program at our headquarters in Hamburg’s HafenCity. Be part of our Graduate Program in New Energy and help us shape the future!

What our Graduate Program has to offer:

  • Variety: With the changing energy industry, your projects and responsibilities will be diverse and exciting. You will support the team in the development of energy projects in advanced biofuels, synthetic fuels, hydrogen, and other alternative fuels. You will proactively contact potential suppliers, customers, and partners, support negotiations, and stay in touch with everyone involved. You will also contribute to market screening and market research analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Big Picture: Get a comprehensive understanding of our traditional energy trading business and our developments in the New Energy field. From conception to contract negotiations and implementation, you will support the team in finding solutions for the provision of sustainable fuels for mobility and industry and will work closely with colleagues from logistics, trading, power and emissions, etc. You will take part in selected and project-specific information events and conferences. Together with colleagues from the New Energy Investments & Portfolio Development team, you will develop financial models for potential acquisition projects.

What we are looking for:

  • University degree: You have successfully completed your master’s degree in economics, energy management, sustainability, international business, or another relevant field.
  • Motivation: You’re eager to learn everything about new energy and are motivated to be at the forefront of the energy transition. You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong team spirit, and a hands-on mentality.
  • Intercultural competence: You enjoy collaborating in international teams. Your English language skills facilitate your communication with customers and colleagues. Knowledge of German is advantageous.
  • First work experience: Ideally, you have already gained initial experience (e.g., through internships or an apprenticeship) in the energy industry, project management, or commercial/sales. However, this is not a requirement for joining our Graduate Program.
