Day to day of the job

Life as a Software Engineering Graduate at REA is diverse. You’ll work the latest full stack tech and best practices like Typescript and Functional Programming.

  • Be embedded in agile teams where you will be exposed to all aspects of our business and brands.
  • Gain exposure to AWS and cloud technology.
  • Learn about new and emerging practices like event-driven architecture and micro frontends.
  • Work on a range of projects from new web apps, mobile apps and products within core teams like Data Services and Devops.

Who we’re looking for

REA Looks for graduates with diverse experiences and backgrounds. To ensure success in your role as a grad, you will ideally be:

  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced working environment
  • Hungry to learn new technology and work across multiple programming languages and principles
  • Able to apply deep analytical thinking to solve complex problems
  • Fostering a growth mindset - It’s not about what you know but your enthusiasm for learning.
  • Curious, with the ability to collaborate
  • Communicate and align with REA values
  • Graduating in 2024 or before February 2025 in a related IT degree, certificate or bootcamp with less than 1 year’s professional work experience in IT (not including internships/placements)
  • Graduates with full Australian working rights (international students accepted)
