JOB DESCRIPTION

Burgoynes is an established and successful business employing forensic scientists and engineers specialising in the investigation of fires, explosions, engineering failures and other incidents. The organisation provides expert witness services to the legal, insurance and commercial sectors. We have offices throughout the UK and in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Australia. In support of our investigation work worldwide we maintain libraries and research services in both our London and Ilkley offices.
An enthusiastic and capable graduate trainee / library assistant with a minimum primary degree (preferably, but not necessarily, in science or engineering) is sought to assist in supporting scientific and technical research services to our offices groupwide. The position is in-office for a fixed term of one year to cover maternity leave, with a start date of early August 2024. The candidate will be part of a small team based in London, and training will be provided. The position will be most suitable for those wishing to gain relevant experience towards pursuing subsequent post-graduate studies in Library or Information Science.
