SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be educated to Bachelor’s degree and/or Masters level (RICS Accredited)
  • Must be looking to pursue the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become a Chartered Member of the RICS (Valuation)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driving license holder (UAE)
  • 2- 3 years’ experience in the UAE highly preferred
  • Have a sound business knowledge especially within this market sector
  • Has broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines
  • Understands what generates revenue and makes profit
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Excellent reporting and organizational ski2ls
  • Proactive and excellent team player
  • Based in the UAE or willing to relocate

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Graduate Surveyor will work with a wide range of clients including local, international and private banks, private wealth customers, local and international companies and Government Departments. The role is based in Abu Dhabi although will be expected to work in Dubai / across the UAE. The ideal candidate will be wishing to pursue, or currently pursuing the APC, towards qualification as a member of the RICS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To carry our property valuations for mainly Residential assets; apartments, villas in additional to occasional commercial asset valuations such as offices, mixed use buildings & industrial assets (existing property, new build and under construction), ensuring correct advice and guidance is provided on market values.
  • To conduct valuation assignments, including but not limited to inspection, valuation, report writing, meeting and presenting to clients
  • To collate information from internal and external sources on the Middle East property markets
  • To maintain a database of information by co-ordinating with the research and valuation team members
  • To collaborate with other departments to obtain and provide data on markets
  • Preparation of reports from data collected on the assignments as and when required
  • To develop relationships with companies, institutions and other bodies with a view to offering Savills Middle East capabilities and obtaining information on ongoing or future work
  • Contribute to fee income commensurate with role and as set by the line manager
  • Produce high quality presentation skills, with the ability to present information accurately and succinctly both orally and in draft reports
  • Co-ordinate and manage instructions, specifically the turnaround time whilst maintaining quality control
  • Manage multiple instructions at the same time efficiently and effectively
  • Escalating issues to service line Directors and Surveyors as required
  • Handling all property inquiries and reporting suitable options to the client
  • Support your team in achieving their individual and/or departmental set goals and objectives
  • Attend internal and external networking events (CPD)
  • Assist in expanding the client base and develop business with existing client contacts
