MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in
- Accounting: Knowledge of traditional accounting practices including accrual, obligations, and costs methods.
- Grants Management: Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements.
- Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
- Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
- Technical Credibility: Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.

Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible experience in accounting, grants administration, budget administration, procurement, professional services contracts and/or providing administrative support to a business or organization.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent of this position will serve as the Division`s Grants Program Manager responsible for implementing and managing the State´s Non-Disaster and Disaster Grants Management and Auditing Programs. Acts as program lead for federal and state grant programs. Process, oversee and approve the development, writing, and distribution or annual applications for each program which we receive grant receipts to administer. Serves as a primary point-of-contact for the division internal grant controls, auditing process, prepares applications for grant programs in accordance with the specific grant guidelines, and creates local community applications that conform with both federal and state requirements.
