OVERVIEW

The Gravel Plant Ground Person plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our gravel processing facility. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a keen eye for detail and safety. The role involves hands-on tasks to ensure efficient and safe production processes. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual who can contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality aggregate materials.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED: Essential educational requirement, demonstrating foundational skills in mathematics, reading, and writing.
  • Technical Training: Completion of vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation, industrial maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the aggregates or construction industry, with a strong emphasis on equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Efficiently manage the movement of raw materials and finished products within the plant using loaders, conveyors, and other heavy machinery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and prevent breakdowns. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Site Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe workspace for all employees.
  • Quality Control: Assist in monitoring the quality of gravel production, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues in material consistency.
  • Operational Support: Provide support to plant operators and other team members as needed, ensuring smooth and continuous operations.
