Description:

We are looking for a Group Accounting Manager to support monthly financial statements delivery and drive improvements of accounting and reporting processes. In this position, you will report directly to the Global Director of Group Accounting.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3-5 years of business experience in similar role (group accounting, consolidation, audit) with consulting / accounting company or an international corporate, ideally in the luxury industry
- Used to work in a dynamic environment with multiple project running simultaneously and delivering tangible results on a timely basis
- Experience in introducing and consistently maintaining structured and efficient accounting processes and related controls
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor- or master-degree in business administration, ideally with a focus in finance, or similar education (e.g. CPA / charted accountant)
Responsibilities:
THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE FOR 9-10 MONTHS, STARTING IN MAY/JUNE.
The position is based in our Grenchen office with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.
MAIN TASKS OF THE POSITION:
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management reporting
- Planning and preparing of audit-ready consolidated interim and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Contributing to continuous enhancement of group-internal accounting and reporting guidance, implementation of such as well as ensuring adherence thereto (includes developing and executing training of finance community in the field of accounting)
- Act as a business partner for group affiliates for any accounting and reporting topics
- Contributing to operational excellence in the period-end closing process (e.g. implementation of automatization in the closing process, preparation period-end closing instructions etc.)
- Planning and execution of balance sheet reviews
- Contributing to continuous improvement of internal controls over financial reporting at group and affiliate level
- Supporting of and working collaboratively with other finance (tax, treasury, controlling) and business functions (e.g. marketing, sales, production) in the context of special topics and transactions (e.g. merger and acquisitions, integration of new affiliates, significant contracts etc.)
- Excellent in Excel and good knowledge in other MS office applications
- Good skills in Tagetik or a comparable consolidation and group reporting tool
- Experience in SAP FI / CO is an advantage

- Good knowledge of accounting rules in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligation is an advantage
- Full business proficiency in English is required, French/German would be a nice to have
