Description:
A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Groups Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue through the booking of group conferences and events at our hotel. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, a proactive approach to generating leads, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The GCandE Sales Executive will interact frequently with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, a Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- SALES AND REVENUE GENERATION:Identify and pursue sales opportunities for group conferences, meetings, and events. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other stakeholders to generate business for the hotel.
- Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue
- Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team
- Negotiation Skills: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure bookings and maximize revenue. Ensure that pricing and terms are competitive while meeting the hotel’s profitability goals.
- Converting Business: Convert leads into confirmed bookings by effectively communicating the value proposition of hosting events at our hotel. Provide personalized service and assistance to clients throughout the booking process.
- Manage an events schedule to maximize yield
- Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of conferences and events. Communicate client requirements and preferences to the appropriate departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to identify new business opportunities. Utilize market insights to develop targeted sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs and expand the hotel’s network.
- Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds
- Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
- Participate in hotel promotional activities

- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the hospitality industry
