Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Blackrock Health Group, for the position of Group EHR Financial Project Manager. Reporting to the Group EHR Programme Manager. This is a Fixed Term post, 26-month contract, 37 hours per week. Location open to Blackrock Health Group locations / Hybrid working model.

EXPERIENCES AND SKILLSETS:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and healthcare financial systems. Minimum of 3 years project management experience or 3 years leading a multi-disciplinary financial EHR team.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Blackrock Health Group is embarking on a large-scale EHR (Electronic Health Record) programme to implement Meditech’s advanced EHR system across all institutions in the group.
The Group is looking to hire an experienced Financial Project Manager to perform a dual role on this implementation:
1. The role of Financial Applications Project Manager on the EHR Program Management Team (PMT)
2. Team Lead of one of the financial core teams: General Financials or Supply Chain Management
Note: The appropriate team will be assigned based on experience and programme needs

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be a member of the EHR Programme Management Team (PMT) and will report to the Group EHR Programme Manager. You will work collaboratively with other PMT members to coordinate interdependencies, plan cross-functional milestone events, and to resolve issues as they arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Oversight and management two of the following financial teams (each core team will have a team lead)

  • Patient Accounting
  • General Financials (Accounts Payable and General Ledger)
  • Supply Chain (covering materials management functionality)

PARTICIPATION IN ALL RELEVANT PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT TEAM DUTIES INCLUDING:

  • Programme scoping and requirements gathering
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Project planning
  • Communications planning and execution
  • Change control and escalation
  • Status reporting: monitor, evaluate and report on project progress in conjunction with assigned team leads
  • Risk identification and management
  • Recruitment of various financial team roles
  • Resource planning and management
  • Vendor check-ins e.g. liaising with counterparts in MEDITECH as needed to ensure alignment of priorities and resources

TEAM LEAD ROLE DUTIES

  • Clarify the scope and remit of the team for all institutions in the group. This will be done in collaboration with others.
  • Involved in the recruitment of core team members
  • Establish Blackrock Health Standards for the assigned functional area with relevant programme authorities whilst leveraging the existing EHR functionality and standards.
  • Break the scope down into manageable deliverables, perform project planning and prioritisation, and track progress against these same deliverables
  • Manage the build, configuration and testing of the assigned financial application, and subsequent rollout to all institutions in the Blackrock Health group
  • Perform resource management of core team members
  • Perform status reporting on core team deliverables
  • Participate in relevant EHR events as necessary e.g. scoping, communication events, validation exercises, cutover etc.
    Note: responsibilities on the programme may change/vary depending on the needs of the programme at any particular stage.
