Description:
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated CBT Therapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist looking to progress and develop your clinical and leadership skills within an important new area of service transformation? If so, why not join us in this role to be part of the transformation to community mental health services developing new Primary Care Network mental health teams across the West of Berkshire.
You will work closely alongside other Psychological Therapists and within the multidisciplinary team to lead and develop a group programme (including evidence based ‘third wave’ groups and a managing emotions programme) for primary care mental health teams across the localities of West Berkshire. You will be well supported and supervised by a Principal Psychologist, and will work within a dynamic, people-centred environment, where you will be able to shape and improve provision for patients with complex conditions. You will primarily be responsible for delivering online groups to patients with significant mental health issues, and will also have the opportunity for individual work and providing some supervisory input to junior psychological staff.
To work as part of a team to support and enhance the psychological care of adults with significant mental health issues in primary care.
To support the roll out and lead on the delivery of online evidence-based CBT interventions, both individual and group, including third wave therapies and a Managing Emotions Programme for people with personality difficulties across Berkshire West.
To participate in the implementation and development of system-wide mental health services that will contribute to improved experience for people with serious mental health problems in primary care.
To provide, supervise and support specialist psychological assessment and treatment, formulation and consultation to clients and staff within the clinical team and system to which the post-holder is attached, across all sectors of care.
