What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the Auto Finance Operations & Policy team, the Group Product Manager, Operations & Projects is accountable for the continuous operational effectiveness and improvement of the Auto Finance business to mitigate operational risk, optimize efficiency, and significantly improve the customer experience; as well as continuous investigation to identify opportunities for operational loss mitigation processes and cost savings.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Relationship building – You can effectively interact and build relationships internal and external to CIBC. When issues are identified, you effectively can oversee and monitor the development of the right-sized solutions across business units.
  • Mitigate Operational Risk – Work with stakeholders including CIBC internal partners, Auto Capital Canada, and other vendors to identify control gaps, develop and execute action plans to address gaps, develop procedural documentation to recurrence, remediate issues, and demonstrate the sustainability of processes and controls. Act as the business’s primary contact to prepare for control testing and audits, working directly with these teams to ensure artifacts are available and provided on time.
  • Implement Operational Initiatives – With a focus on initiatives supporting regulatory, operational, or procedural changes, act as the Auto Finance initiative lead working with various CIBC internal partners, Auto Capital Canada, and other vendors to identify change requirements, submit change requests to appropriate teams and vendors, and support the full implementation of all aspects of these initiatives including the implementation and oversight of procedural updates.
  • Manage Forms Library – Manage the Auto Finance business managed forms and library. Collaborate with internal partners (Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Technology, etc…) and external vendors to manage agreement, form and letter updates from approval through deployment in vendor platforms, including user acceptance testing and internal communication of changes. Maintain accurate inventory of agreements, forms, letters and procedures, ensuring current versions are available in designated locations for retrieval updated across platforms.
  • Process Oversight – Maintain an inventory and oversight of all key operational business processes to ensure they are documented, reviewed on a regular basis, and operate as designed. Own and resolve any issues identified or escalated.
  • Records and Data Governance – Lead the development and management of data and records retention across the Auto Finance team to ensure compliance with the Enterprise Data Management and Governance Policy. Lead initiatives designed to maintain compliance with the Enterprise Data Management and Governance Policy. Understand and ensure adherence to CIBC’s Business Managed Technology Policy. Own addition of new Governed Applications to the business process as defined in the Business Managed Technology Policy.
