We welcome you to become a part of Kari Centre, an exciting and dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient service committed to providing assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families in the central Auckland area. Renowned for excellence, innovation, and training, Kari Centre is dedicated to fostering career development opportunities. We offer comprehensive internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, to support both new staff in skill development and experienced clinicians in further honing their expertise.
We are seeking a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychotherapist, or Psychologist to join our Tu Rangatahi team. This team delivers evidence-based therapeutic groups to young people and their whānau. We offer a variety of groups tailored for young people aged 9 to 18 years old as well as groups for whānau members. We are in search of an individual who is passionate about delivering group therapy, updating group content, and exploring the development and implementation of new groups. Additionally, there are opportunities for acute and follow-up assessments for rangatahi on their treatment pathway, as well as involvement in other areas of Kari Centre.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be considered for this role, you must be an experienced registered Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychotherapist, or Clinical Psychologist with a current practicing certificate.
Our ideal candidate will also have previous experience working with children and youth within a mental health setting, work well as part of a team and under pressure. As this is a community role, a full and clean driver’s licence is required.
