Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
PUBLIC is a digital transformation partner committed to helping the public sector turn innovative ideas into practical solutions. We’re on the lookout for a strategically minded Growth Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is available as a maternity cover position for a fixed-term period of 9-12 months.
As a key member of our team, reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer and working alongside our Managing Director and Business Unit Leads, you will be entrusted with managing the operational elements of our business development processes to enable future projects and our sales pipeline. Your role will be instrumental in enabling commercial development for PUBLIC.
Key responsibilities in this role:
- Opportunity Champion:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in collaboration with business unit leads. Proactively share new opportunities with the wider team
- Manage proposal process, work with teams to produce proposals, align with leadership oversight on proposals
- Run Growth Monday meeting & proactively share new opportunities with the wider team
- Monitor key opportunity channels, such as Tussell, and other key procurement frameworks
- Lead pipeline discussions at weekly leadership meetings
- Pipeline & Process Owner:
- Own and manage the business development pipeline, working in conjunction with business unit leads (via Monday.com)
- Champion effective use of the company CRM tool (via Monday.com)
- Provide real-time insights and steer reporting for leadership meetings and company wide all hands
- Collaborate with Operations Team to ensure a seamless transition for won bids through to contractual process
- Maintain a comprehensive database of bid materials and work with cross functional stakeholders to update periodically
- Growth Strategist:
- Lead growth knowledge pertaining to business development initiatives
- Convene a Community of Practice knowledge base for continuous learning and improvement
- Build and manage strategic framework relationships (e.g. DOS1, MCF4, GCloud)
- Maintain our list of strategic partnerships in line with strategic priorities via our CRM (Monday.com)
TO SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE, WE LOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum prior experience of 4 years in bid writing and business development, preferably at a management consulting organisation
- Excellent communication skills - proven track record of business writing & presentation skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Comfort with stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing without authority
- Demonstrated ability to both collaborate effectively and work autonomously, and comfort being proactive and taking initiative
