Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
ADM is seeking a GT Installations Support Analyst II to join our Global Technology (GT) team in Decatur, IL. This role is crucial in providing top-notch customer service, project management and technical support across a variety of GT network infrastructure projects, including cabling, server farm installations, equipment room design, and wireless LAN deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT infrastructure cabling and project management, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with ADM users, business partners, and peer operation teams. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted running of GT network appliances, voice and data infrastructure, and associated computer equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service and support for all ADM users, including troubleshooting and monitoring trouble ticket systems.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage infrastructure projects to ensure timelines and schedules are met.
- Coordinate cabling installations, server deployments, and equipment room enhancements.
- Work under general supervision to identify, document, investigate, research, and resolve hardware questions and problems in a timely manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including peers, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ensure uninterrupted running of GT network appliances, voice, and data infrastructure.
- Support ADM’s BIG Rocks, 1ADM, GT Operating model, and MFG Industry 4.0/Project Aurora initiative.
- Create and maintain infrastructure projects to ensure timelines and schedules are met.
- Partner with technology leaders and teams across GT and MFG OT for operational support and project workflows.
- Monitor operations ticket flows and team communications for alignment with GT operating model.
- Be accountable for project implementation transition through proper documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Advanced knowledge in managing work orders, trouble tickets, and inventory applications.
- Work with 3rd party vendors on escalated issues and maintain positive relationships within various IT support groups.
- Assist in WAN/LAN cabling installation practices and configure IT equipment as needed.
- Provide regular updates, status reports, and transparent communication channels.
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management, facilitation, and process management skills.
- Proven IT infrastructure cabling experience and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel as needed to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and familiarity with SCCM, Exchange, SharePoint, Windows Server (2008–2019), and Red Hat/Oracle Linux (5-8) preferred.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Availability for on-call duties 24/7/365 and occasional travel.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require extended periods of sitting and keyboard operations.
- System outage windows may necessitate evening, weekend, and holiday work.
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
- The candidate must be located within a 45-minute commute of the Decatur, IL area.
- Occasional air travel may be required for business needs.
