Description:
Shine People Solutions specialises in recruiting staff for a wide variety of industries in regional and remote areas of Australia. We are currently assisting an organisation that serves as the employment, training, and allied education services provider for the Tiwi Islands Communities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard working candidate to join this new team as a full-time Group Training Organisation (GTO) Field Officer. You will support the GTO Coordinator and be responsible for:
- Working closely with female trainees/apprentices and their host employers on the Tiwi Islands.
- Undertaking a range of administration and clerical tasks to record trainee/apprentice information accurately.
- Building rapport and become the “go to” point when female trainees/apprentices or their employer need support or advice.
- Providing a high level of promotional information about the benefits of undertaking a traineeship/apprenticeship.
- Working as part of a small team and facilitate the knowledge Group Training Services better practice to local Field Officers and other Group Training staff.
- Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and Tiwi Elders who can support female trainees/apprentices navigate challenges and cease opportunities.
We are seeking an ideal candidate with robust administration skills, a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by remote Indigenous communities, and preferably, expertise in group training and apprenticeship programs.
