Description:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in configuring PCFs & Gosu, rules management, plug-in development, and integrating third-party software using SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and JSON.
- Experience creating and consuming Web Services using the SOAP protocol in Guidewire.
- Experience with Maven for building applications and Continuous Integration tools for automated code testing.
- Exposure to version control tools like Git.
ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug system issues and resolve defects.
- Experience presenting research findings and technical analysis to architects and stakeholders to develop recommendations.
DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience or knowledge in Property and Casualty Insurance, particularly in Homeowners and Commercial Property.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Understanding of enterprise software concepts and Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Familiarity with J2EE technologies.
- Understanding of various design patterns and solution architectures.
- Knowledge of profiling tools like JProfiler, YourKit, etc.

ABOUT THE ROLE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
This person will act as strong technical resource during the many phases of the development and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter and Insurance Suite where applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze business requirements to design solutions for Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Configure and customize Guidewire ClaimCenter user interface and develop integration components.
- Document technical designs for integration and customization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ClaimCenter platform.
- Support ClaimCenter platform production deployments as needed.
- Implement updates for ClaimCenter applications.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings, backlog grooming, project planning, and technical design workshops.
- Perform peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best coding practices.
- Champion best coding practices adhering to Guidewire and industry standards.
- Mentor junior resources to build capabilities in Guidewire platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
