Role Overview:
We are seeking an expert Guidewire Solution Designer to join our growing team at Cognizant! Our strength is built on our ability to work together. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide technical leadership and development of Insurance Claims system projects.
  • Devise or modify technical solutions to solve problems.
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs.
  • Created low level integration designs for Guidewire configurations & integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT management, project or maintenance team members and other team members to evaluate, design, and provide technical solutions that support the overall strategy and otherwise contribute to the delivery of cost effective business solutions.
  • Act as an internal technical mentor and consultant.
  • Be a key IT technical contributor on emerging technologies used for the internet, intranet, or internal applications.
  • Develop sound, cost-effective applications to achieve customer needs

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 10-12 years of experience with the Guidewire application suite -ClaimCenter is required.
  • Experience managing Guidewire applications is required, as well as knowledge of configuration and integration components.
  • Should be able to understand the enterprise architecture and recommend solutions accordingly.
  • Should have experience in agile development tools such as GitHub/ SVN/ Maven Jenkins etc.
  • Should have working knowledge of Java, Java web, JavaScript, SQL, Guidewire Edge etc.
  • Implement standard methodologies in related technologies.
  • Should be able to lead a team and communicate project progress with customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication coordination and mentoring skills.
  • Equivalent of Azure Fundamentals certification or Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate.
  • Guidewire – ClaimCenter ACE Certification.

Working arrangements:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a Hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Canada.
