D’Addario Europe Limited, established in 2017, manages the European sales and marketing for prestigious brands such as D’Addario Fretted, D’Addario Orchestral, D’Addario Woodwinds, Promark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, and Puresound Snare Wires.
The D’Addario Europe Limited marketing team based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, being responsible for Western, Central & Eastern Europe, is seeking a driven, curious, and passionate guitar player to serve as a Guitar+ Product Specialist (m/w/d) for the brand.
Mission: The Guitar+ Product Specialist (m/w/d) is required to raise awareness and elevate D’Addario in the minds of our customers, working closely with the sales team to increase sales, and will be directly involved in conducting market research to gain key insights into the guitar community, train and “geek out” with retailers, end consumers, artists, and players about our guitar+ products, and will represent D’Addario at events in Western, Central & Eastern Europe, while directly communicating and reporting to the Head of Marketing to ensure strategic alignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new, high-impact artists, educators, influencers, and schools/universities for the endorsee roster in Western, Central & Eastern Europe or trade shows and events
  • Oversee the performance of the brands, and work with the marketing and sales team to identify opportunities for growth in the numbers
  • Competition monitoring
  • Regular reporting, analysis and commentary
  • Ad hoc and/or pre-arranged staff training sessions and sampling of new products
  • Represent the brands at trade, educator conferences and shows, as well as other customer-facing event
  • Identify gaps in product ranges, optimize existing merchandising displays, and foster quality merchandising and evangelism of our products by our key dealers
  • Assess the current state of merchandising, POP and signage, consider and propose new, additional or replacement merchandising

Qualifications:

  • A genuine love for, and interest in the instrument, associated products, the industry, and making music
  • Ability to play and perform the target instrument(s) to a high standard
  • A good communicator with the ability to demo our products and engage audiences, large & small
  • Organized, structured and methodical with exceptional attention to detail
  • Hands-on, “can-do” attitude, results approach, hard-working & highly committed
  • Ability to determine value and ROI when it comes to outreach and other in-market activities
  • Willingness to travel, expect to spend at least 50% of your time on the road
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business reporting technology
  • Team player with ability to manage timelines with a sense of urgency and commitment to achieve business objectives

Contract Type: Permanent contract, 40 hours a week, weekend work required
Job Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Compensation: €38.000 - €40.000 + bonus 10% based on Sales Targets and Goals
Experience: Minimum 1-2 year (preferred)
License/Certification: Driving License (required)
Languages: Native or fluent in German, very good level of English (B2). A third language would be appreciated in the operating region Western, Central & Eastern Europe
