Description:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will work as part of an integrated project team focused on custom electronics development. This position contributes to the development, certification and delivery of electronic systems for a next generation electrical aircraft design.
SKILLS:
- M.Sc. in electrical engineering/electronics or a comparable education
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the development and verification of aerospace hardware (digital & mixed-signal)
- Good knowledge of the hardware development lifecycle according to DO-254 and DO-160
- Experience in FPGA design and verification
- Good knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium, Mentor Graphics or equivalent
- Experience with grounding, shielding and EMC design techniques
- Hands-on experience in designing verification plans and test cases and implementing testbenches
- Experience with integration and debugging of safety critical electronic systems
- Fluency in English
- another plus would be:
- Experience with safety critical applications and hardware protection/monitoring architectures
- Knowledge of safety and reliability processes, e.g., FTA and FME(C)A, derating analysis; DFM / DFT; mechanical packaging; thermal and cooling design
- Fluency in German or other languages
Responsibilities:
- Define, verify and validate hardware requirements in terms of function, safety and performance
- Actively participate in the definition of the processes and tools for the design and development of the hardware
- Implement the product development cycle in accordance with the guidelines of RTCA/DO-254
- Design electronic hardware in accordance with RTCA/DO-160 and industry standards
- Assist in embedded software development and system integration
- Lead technical presentations, product evaluations and benchmarks
