BASIC QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & SKILLS

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• Experience in Microsoft applications, VBA and macros in excel is an advantage
• Experience in Product Lifecycle Management system, Arena or Teamcenter is a plus
• Experience or have a working knowledge in schematic and PCB design tools like Cadence Allegro, Mentor or any other tools is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Has a high sense of urgency and analytical skills
• Can work with less to no Supervision
• Able to join once a weeknight Staff Meeting to collaborate with offshore teams
• Willing to learn other design field in System Electrical Engineering.

ORGANIZATION & ROLE

The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Engineer to focus on the development of hardware systems for products within the division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment. This individual will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible in ensuring Hardware Engineering development data are correct, meets requirement, and timely updated

• Perform data processing in excel using formulas, scripting, or macros/VBA
• Review parts with AVL issues (out of stock, obsolete) and provide alternative part meeting Form, Fit, and Function
• Create/submit Commodity Part Requests for parts needed in board schematic design.
• Create and process ECN’s to release and/or modify designs as required.
• Support Design Engineers in schematic design updates or improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.
• Develop standards and guidelines to ensure quality and performance.
