Description:

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the Kitchen’s daily operations.
  • Planing and organizing the preparation and cooking of food for

dining and special events, including personal celebrations and

commercial functions

  • Completing orders from relevant supplies
  • Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget

and quality

  • Guiding correct and effective methods on cooking procedures
  • Monitoring and controlling stock levels
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Taking care of the kitchen’s accounts and creating a work

roster.

  • Maintaining records of payroll and attendance of kitchen staff.
  • Interviewing and hiring new staff.
  • Managing and training kitchen staff.
  • Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-

workers.

  • Collaborating with the owner to align kitchen operations with

the overarching goals of the establishment.

Candidate Requirements:-

  • Be Honest and Reliable
  • Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts
  • Be punctual
  • Be Drug free
  • Clean Criminal History
  • Great cooking skills and attention to detail
  • Overall knowledge about food production and presentation
  • Knowledge of prevailing regulations on Hygiene

Experience or Qualification:-

  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience is

required.

  • A relevant minimum Diploma level qualification will be

advantageous but not mandatory.

Hours and Position:-

  • It is full time permanent job with minimum 30 hours + per

week.

Pay Rate:-

  • $29 to $33 per hour
