Description:
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the Kitchen’s daily operations.
- Planing and organizing the preparation and cooking of food for
dining and special events, including personal celebrations and
commercial functions
- Completing orders from relevant supplies
- Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget
and quality
- Guiding correct and effective methods on cooking procedures
- Monitoring and controlling stock levels
- Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
- Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
- Taking care of the kitchen’s accounts and creating a work
roster.
- Maintaining records of payroll and attendance of kitchen staff.
- Interviewing and hiring new staff.
- Managing and training kitchen staff.
- Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-
workers.
- Collaborating with the owner to align kitchen operations with
the overarching goals of the establishment.
Candidate Requirements:-
- Be Honest and Reliable
- Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts
- Be punctual
- Be Drug free
- Clean Criminal History
- Great cooking skills and attention to detail
- Overall knowledge about food production and presentation
- Knowledge of prevailing regulations on Hygiene
Experience or Qualification:-
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience is
required.
- A relevant minimum Diploma level qualification will be
advantageous but not mandatory.
Hours and Position:-
- It is full time permanent job with minimum 30 hours + per
week.
Pay Rate:-
- $29 to $33 per hour
