Flexibility to work over 7 days and public holidays is required. This busy hotel needs a Head Chef who thrives under pressure and has excellent communication and team management skills. We are looking for someone who can take the food offering to the next level!

  • Deliver to our client’s high expectation of a premium experience
  • Maintain an overall knowledge and passion for food
  • Observation of and implementation of allergy awareness controls.
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety and food safety standards
  • Menu development for bistro dining, functions, and events
  • Oversee hotel kitchen operations reporting to the Venue Manager
  • Taking responsibility for food production and versatility to lead teams across all operations where required
  • Tightly monitor costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimization, and stock control
  • Be an integral part of our passionate leadership team which is dedicated to creating memorable experiences
  • Recruitment, retention, and rostering of staff
  • Responsibility for supporting existing apprentices and encouraging new ones
  • Maintaining a premium and consistent approach to all food and service delivery levels

Responsibilities:

This full-time salary role is an exciting opportunity for a creative Head Chef who wants to lead and inspire a team! The primary role is to manage the day-to-day and strategic kitchen operations, lead with a hands-on style, and ensure the on-site food is delivered to an exceptional standard.
The ideal candidate will have experience across all sections, a real drive for creating fresh seasonal specials, show flair and embrace creativity. We are searching for someone who sees the importance of cooking that perfect Schnitzel or Salt and pepper Squid whilst being brave and trying different things.
