Description:

SUMMARY

Location: Can be based in one of the following - Dublin, Ireland; Ljubljana, Slovenia; Prague, Czech Republic (all hybrid) or London, United Kingdom (remote) As the Head Gender Equity, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating our gender equity efforts globally. You will play a key role in expanding gender equality initiatives, advocating for equal opportunities, and driving impactful change for marginalized communities. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping our gender equity strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, and fostering an inclusive work environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in promoting gender equality, working within the field of gender advocacy, gender equity, or women’s studies.
  • Strong understanding of gender issues, intersections and human rights.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful Diversity&Inclusion initiatives.
  • Leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in working in international, matrix contexts and multicultural environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social Sciences or relevant field.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) thought-leader, influencer and subject-matter expert for equity; reveal areas of need for workforce, patients and communities, identify standard methodologies and provide insights based on trends and data.
  • Monitor industry trends and work closely with internal and external partners to address and incorporate evolving issues, needs and requirements.
  • Establish substantial benchmarks, baselines and aspirations.
  • Partner with Novartis functions to ensure equity strategies/s are endorsed, aligned and embedded within policies, processes, practices and programs.
  • Partner with DEI, P&O (People & Organization) and business partners to diagnose, design and complete systemic initiatives and ensure sustainable outcomes.
  • Ensure leaders / people managers understand, role-model, and are held accountable for Novartis-wide DEI strategy and outcomes (e.g., diversity and equity in representation, inclusive behaviours).
  • Build internal and external awareness on the importance of equity in collaboration with business leaders, Communication and DEI communities.
  • Equip and enable our leaders, associates and communities.
