Description:

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, and distribution management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the food & distribution industry.
  • Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, including transportation modes, freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehouse management systems, and inventory control.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics networks, warehouse operations, optimizing processes, and driving cost savings.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for global logistics, warehouse, and distribution to support the company’s growth objectives and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Network Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize the global distribution network, including transportation routes, warehouse locations, and distribution channels, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Warehouse Management: Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage optimization, order picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all warehouse facilities.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and other vendors to ensure high-quality service levels, negotiate contracts, and manage performance effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop inventory management strategies that balance inventory levels with customer demand, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory holding costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs requirements, and food safety standards to ensure compliance in all logistics and distribution activities, both domestically and internationally.
  • Performance Monitoring and KPIs: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations and implement systems to monitor performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments/business units, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes and address any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive cost savings throughout the logistics, warehouse, and distribution function.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain, such as natural disasters, geopolitical events, or transportation delays, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the logistics, warehouse, and distribution team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
