Role Purpose:
Prudential announced a health focused strategy as an insurer that enables customers to access affordable health care by better managing health outcomes and controlling medical inflation. We have the ambition to become the most trusted Health partner shifting from our traditional role as that of a “payor” that is focused on reimbursement of hospitalization and surgery costs. In line with this PACS has defined a target operating model led by the Chief Health Officer providing leadership and oversight of the health business of the company. The Head, Health Strategy & Business Development is integral to the organization’s growth and success, focusing on developing a sustainable health portfolio, creating innovative products, deliver superior customer experiences, and establishing a strong presence within the healthcare ecosystem.
Organization Context:
The Head, Health Strategy & Business Development will report directly to the Chief Health Officer. This role will be instrumental in driving the distribution and customer strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve the financial and strategic KPIs for the health business. The role is required to collaborate closely with the Distribution partners in particular the Agency Force to create a “PruShield culture” where agents are incentivize and capable to confidently represent our shield offering. The role will also work closely with the Product and Pricing teams on product features and pricing, in addition to monitoring sales performance and identifying necessary strategies to achieve our growth ambitions for PruShield.

PROPOSITION DEVELOPMENT

  • Design and drive campaigns and propositions of the health business and increase the take-up of health insurance propositions.
  • Define initiatives to enhance customer experience, measured by Customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer retention
  • Coordinate with product team in development of new health products/riders
  • Lead the go-to-market strategies

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10-15 years of experience in a distribution role or leadership role within insurance industry
  • Strong experience in digital transformation, technology interventions, and data analytics within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage with regulatory bodies and industry associations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
