Responsibilities:

As the Head of Audit, you will be a key leader within the Group Internal Audit team, responsible for overseeing audit functions focused on our corporate areas and customer-oriented operational divisions. Your responsibilities include strategizing, creating, executing, and sustaining our yearly Internal Audit agenda to generate valued outcomes that support Origin’s strategy and foster a culture aligned with our values. You will be crucial in confirming that our governance, risk management, and control frameworks are operating effectively and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering an annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan, including regular progress reporting.
  • Implementing and continuously improving our internal audit methodology, incorporating advanced techniques such as AI, data analytics, and LEAN principles.
  • Providing high-quality, independent, and objective assurance to key stakeholders, recommending value-adding, commercial and achievable actions.
  • Leading and participating in audit assignments, ensuring effective scope development, resource allocation, and concise reporting.
  • Managing and developing a team of internal audit professionals, fostering a supportive and high-performance work environment.
  • Liaising with external auditors and managing co-sourced supplier relationships to understand and advise on contemporary industry and better practices.
  • Driving strategic transformation initiatives within the audit team and across Origin, where required.
