Description:

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for Avantor Biopharma business in Sub-regions including P&L, commercial strategy, execution, Business Development, Market Development, team management and Customer relationship management directly and through distributors.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • BE & BS in Life Sciences, MSc and MBA are preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years sales experience
  • P&L Management, Large and diverse teams leading, Solution selling, negotiations skills, managing major accounts
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in solutions selling in Biopharma Industry
  • Willingness to travel around 50% of the time.
  • Biopharma & Pharma market understanding and prior experience of selling to companies manufacturing Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical products
  • Ability to influence Direct and Indirect teams to deliver the desired results.
  • Willingness work in Matrix structure.
  • Entrepreneurial Attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the sales/marketing plans to effectively promote and sell Avantor’s Biopharma portfolio such as Process Chemicals, Chromatography Resins, Serum, Fluid Handling Solution/Single Use solutions business including SUS Hardware, Masterflex pumps, tubing, mixers, bags, SU assemblies, transfer sets, etc…
  • Lead the sales and Business development team, technical applications & service teams to achieve set targets (IOP).
  • Establish strong business relationships with our distributors and key customers.
  • Develop, train, manage and motivate the team and distribution channel on products and services.
  • Implement sales opportunities with Avantor & VWR application engineers and manage the process (if a need arises).
  • Participate in Avantor & VWR cross–functional organizational task force(s) activities and reviews.
  • Anticipate, coordinate, and respond to competitive environment and initiatives.
  • Forecasting the weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly Orders & Sales and reporting to the management.
  • Develop plan and strategy to Meet or exceed the business target assigned for the region
  • Participate in Funnel and sales review meetings to represent the region
  • Partner with Global Commercial, Product management and technology teams to support the customers in the region.
  • Identify, appoint, and manage the suitable Channel Partners though the defined process within the organization and drive the commercial execution though them.
  • Develop short-, mid- and long-term strategy for the business and execute it along with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with AFH, Applications, PMs & Manufacturing teams to execute the commercial strategies in Sub-regions.
