Description:

Speechmatics is looking for a Head of Business Development to manage and inspire our Business Development team. Acting as a coach, you’ll be responsible for generating leads and developing a sales pipeline of prospects through your team. You’ll work across the business to steer the Business Development team, and their activity to achieve success. You’ll work with the wider commercial function, to ensure connection to Demand Generation (Marketing) and also our team of Account Executives.
You’ll lead the Business Development team developing them to their maximum potential. You’ll be closely connected to the teams the BDRs are supporting, on hand to help solve, move forward or identity support needed.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • You’ll lead our Business Development teams generating leads and pipeline through your teams’ activity. You will have a team pipeline target (not individual).
  • Manage teams’ activity ensuring they are carrying out a high level of outbound calls each day to companies from a prospect list and their self sourced leads in order to generate new business opportunities.
  • To conduct fact finds with the prospects to establish their situation and needs.
  • Run an effective ABM style outbound motion working with AEs and Marketing on mapping key accounts, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Create engagement program to outreach across these stakeholders to build awareness and move towards acquisition on an account specific basis.
  • Mapping out team target lists, finding the correct contact within companies by using a number of tools (e.g. LinkedIn, industry research websites, the phone and our clients internal CRM).
  • To achieve set team KPIs (MQL conversion, meetings booked, SQLs for sales to convert).
  • To update client information on the CRM system.
  • Work with you team to ensure targets are hit.
