Description:

People2people are recruiting for a leading design & creative business known for our innovative designs and commitment to excellence.
A unique opportunity has become available within the business and it means we are recruiting for a dynamic and strategic Head of Communications to lead the efforts in shaping and amplifying our brand narrative. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a passion for design. This role will be at Senior Management level taking the lead on Marketing, Communications, Digital Media as well as PR.
This role is based in Winchester so please only apply if you are able to commit to this location 5 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities;

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
  • Lead all aspects of external communications, including media relations, PR campaigns, and digital presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify key messaging and storytelling opportunities aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage media inquiries and cultivate relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
  • Oversee the creation of content for various channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Network with professional bodies to maximise business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and thought leadership.
  • Work with external agencies as well as oversee the work they are doing to make sure it matches the company vision.
  • Act as a brand guardian for the company.

Requirements:

  • Strong previous experience in a similar role within the design or creative industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytic abilities, with the ability to translate business goals into effective communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, with a track record of securing press coverage and managing press events.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management and analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership
  • Experience of handling crisis management strategies
