Job Purpose:
The Head of Data Analytics is a key leadership role within our dynamic and talented Data Reporting team at LexisNexis to deliver, design and execute the data strategy and roadmap for our business across Asia and Pacific.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in analytics, data science or information management, with a proven track record of success within a senior leadership role in data management.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this is a permanent full-time role ideally to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance. We are also open to Asia Pacific locations – Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai for the ideal candidate for this role.
Responsibilities:

Create a vision and strategy to embed analytics across the business:

  • Designing and executing the Asia & Pacific Business data strategy and roadmap, including data governance, data quality, and data management

Drives insights and recommendations to the business:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data needs and drive data-driven decision-making and executable programs.
  • Establish a strong data-driven approach to decision-making across the organization

Ownership of the Asia and Pacific data warehouses environment:

  • Ensure data integrity and security
  • Recommend changes as technologies advance and data volumes increase.

Data governance:

  • Implement data governance frameworks and monitoring data quality and integrity.
  • Establish data policies and procedures to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulations

Act as a change agent for data-driven change management:

  • Drive data innovation and analytics initiatives to uncover business insights and opportunities.
  • Leverage modeling techniques to identify, analyze and present actionable data to drive business decisions.

People leadership and management:

  • Lead and manage data teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists with strong employee engagement.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated work experience as a Head of Data Analytics or similar senior leadership role in Data Management.
  • Strong experience of driving data-driven decision-making and business insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, data management, and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to attract, lead, develop and retain talent in a direct and virtual management environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management & business partnering skills.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to data management
