Description:

READY FOR A NEW ADVENTURE BUILDING THE NEXT-GENERATION RETAIL EXPERIENCE?

Bambuser is looking for a Head of Data Engineering to help us scale our data engineering teams!
We are in the process of growing our data development group, the team responsible for importing, standardizing, aggregating and querying the data that our global customer base generates from our live video products. Our merchant partners around the world use our platform to create live video shopping experiences across their websites and apps, and our data team is tasked with making the generated data highly available and consumable for data analysts, business analysts and programmatic consumers.
Leading this area means full responsibility for our in-house data infrastructure and analytics team, including building a team, shaping team structures and working processes, and driving architectural decision making alongside the rest of the team. Increasing the depth-and-breadth of what we offer to customers on the analytics side of our platforms is a key strategic bet for the company in 2024 and beyond, and we are looking for someone to come in and help us deliver value and insights.
We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and a dynamic, supportive work culture that values innovation, collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of our data strategy, working closely with executive leadership and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop a roadmap for execution
  • Evaluate and improve our existing data architecture, including data storage, ETL processes, and data pipelines, to ensure that it meets our current and future needs
  • Build a high-performing data team by recruiting and retaining top talent, managing performance, and developing career paths and growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and customer success, to ensure that our data infrastructure and processes are aligned with business objectives
  • Work with external partners and vendors as needed to source data, develop integrations, and build solutions that support our data needs
  • Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making, developing metrics and KPIs that inform business decisions and help us track progress against our objectives
  • Ensure that our data infrastructure and processes are secure, compliant, and scalable to support our growth objectives
