If so, then you might be our new Head of Defense & Fuel Vertical.
At DESMI, we are currently looking for a new Head of Defense & fuel Vertical. We are constantly working to empower our customers, which we achieve by delivering flexible and innovative pump solutions to the defense sector. Combined with excellent customer service, our goal is to become the leading supplier of pump solutions in the global market for warships, airbases, and more. For this task, we are seeking the right individual with both managerial, commercial, and technical knowledge and experience.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

As this is a senior position, we expect that you have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar senior management role and a proven track record of achieving results and delivering value for the business unit and the organization. Furthermore, the job requires you to have/be:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset with analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, to develop plans that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Strong leadership abilities with an accountability mindset acting as ambassador of strong leadership in DESMI, globally. Inspiring leadership style that empowers employees to create a high-performance team and positive work environment.
  • Experience with Change Management: To drive and lead change to fulfill Defense and the DESMI strategy.
  • A skilled relationship builder with keen stakeholder management skills in a complex global landscape.
  • Clear and trustful communication - both down/up/cross the organization.
  • Compelling presentation skills targeted at different stakeholder levels.

REQUIREMENTS

For this position it is a requirement that you are able to obtain security clearance from the Danish Defense Intelligence Service.
Moreover, you should be comfortable with extended international travel, approximately 60-80 travel days per year.

Responsibilities:

The role involves a variety of different sales activities including:

  • Managing and coordinating vertical sales
  • Supporting regions in vertical-specific commercial activities.
  • Aligning sales priorities with regions and ensure global coordination of vertical-specific sales activities.
  • Owning vertical-specific pricing and channel strategy
  • Ensure vertical-specific product offering and value proposition.
  • Drive Key Account Management within vertical.
  • Drive channel management.
  • Perform customer consultations and technical assistance on configuration and applications

We need continuous development to be able to continue to provide the best, reliable and innovative solutions that meet customer’s needs within the Defense & Fuel vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing and ensuring vertical knowledge and application expertise hereunder training.
  • Strengthening capabilities within vertical-specific Sales Management and Business Development
  • Providing input to R&D on product development.
  • Investigating new business opportunities
