Description:
The head of radiology physics provides leadership to large team of scientists and technologists responsible for the diagnostic radiology physics services to a number of hospitals in the East Midlands area including two large teaching hospitals and the busiest emergency department in the country. We are looking for a dynamic forward thinking scientist to
Provide expert advice to the Trust and external customers on compliance with the ionising radiation protection legislation acting as both an RPA and MPE at a corporate or departmental level as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Acting as an RPA and MPE to the Trust and external customers.
Acting as a line manager to staff within the radiation protection team.
Supporting the extensive research and development activities of the Trust and external customers and initiate, manage and participate in R&D projects within the section.
Delivering teaching and training to medical physics and other clinical staff.
