Position/Main Responsibilities: Our Client is buying and scaling profitable businesses in the United States and Europe. They are seeking a Head of Engineering to join a world-class end-to-end Tech organization. You will leverage your skills and experience to implement innovative solutions and lead the Engineering team to achieve quick integration of FBA, DTC, eCommerce, Marketing, and Supply Chain data.

As a Head of Engineering at Our Client company, you will:

  • Lead the Infrastructure, ERP, and Data Departments.
  • Collaborate closely with other department heads.
  • Focus on building modular, flexible engineering products.
  • Serve customers including eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Investment, and Legal departments.
  • Build and optimize Our Client’s cloud stack, data engineering, and IT infrastructure.
  • Think big and move fast to support Our Client’s strategic goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of management experience leading Tech Departments in scaling organizations as CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Director of Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of at least 20 people, preferably in a tech startup.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT, cloud infrastructure, software architecture, ERP Systems Integrations, Data Engineering, or related tech fields.
  • 4+ years of experience with Multi-Cloud Data Platform Technologies (preferably GCP and AWS).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Big Query.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and integrating NetSuite ERP solutions.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with software developers and analytics engineers.
  • Proven ability to set processes and KPIs for a tech organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation for engineering projects.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical education and work experience.
  • Experience defining tech architectures, designing Data Warehouses, and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs.
  • Ability to lead projects and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience in Retail or e-Commerce business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all activities, processes, budgets, people, technology, and innovation in the Tech Departments.
  • Lead a team of more than 20 Engineers and Tech Leaders, providing technical guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with C-Level Executives, Vendor Partners, Software Development leads, Analytics Engineers (AEs), and others.
  • Develop managers responsible for different domains of the tech organization.
  • Build a modular, flexible tech infrastructure and solutions.
  • Prepare the company for further scaling across all departments impacted by tech.
  • Define and execute Tech strategy and build tech products to support all business aspects.
  • Design and build IT Infrastructure, Data, and ERP technology solutions.
  • Set and measure KPIs for the Tech Department.
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers, data analysts, and IT professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for technology initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient operation of ERP systems and data infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise and resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Oversee security and compliance of tech solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
