Responsibilities:

  • Detailing of GEAs Environmental strategy and policy as part of the overall sustainability strategy
  • Development, coordination and implementation of global environmental standards and programs
  • Tracking regional and international developments and regulatory requirements in the field of environmental management/environmental protection and initiating the necessary measures and projects
  • Creation, updating and training of global processes on the subject of environmental management
  • Responsible for all Environmental issues related to the operational activities of GEA sites
  • Collaboration in the maintenance and further development of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001
  • Analysis, interpretation and further development of environmental KPIs as well as derivation and alignment of necessary measures and projects to (support to) achieve related corporate targets (e.g. support in responding to investor and customer ratings)
  • Strong focus on sustainability aspects of Environmental Management and reporting on the various environmental topics based on international frameworks and initiatives (CSRD, GHG Protocol, GRI, SBTi, etc.)
  • Expansion of active climate performance management and other environmental factors (energy, water, waste, etc)
  • Supporting Environmental Due Diligence activities in M&A project
