THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A minimum of 8+ years of communications / public affairs / public policy experience and are very familiar with the workings of EU institutions
- A proven track record on working across public policy, government affairs and advocacy in the EU or UK, either in government, political parties, civil service or consultancy
- A strategic thinker who prioritizes business outcomes
- A team player with strong collaboration skills and a can-do attitude to blend into a multicultural, multi-functional work environment
- Someone with an excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and comfortably interact with all levels of management
- An adept at distilling complex ideas and communicating with clarity
- Someone who is thriving in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable to work under pressure

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Head of EU Government Affairs, Europe, you’ll be responsible for Reckitt’s engagement with governments, policymakers and parliamentarians in the EU and key European markets as applicable.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will build and lead Reckitt cross functional teams across Europe to:
- Establish strategic relationships with government, policymakers and parliamentarians, regularly meeting with them to build trust, mitigate potential obstacles and convey the company’s priorities.
- Support governments, policymakers and parliamentarians to understand Reckitt’s purpose, compass and fight and the role we play in public health
- Help advance the public policy and advocacy strategy for the company, working collaboratively with the other local and global Reckitt teams, partners and executives to ensure alignment between business objectives, policy and stakeholder outreach goals
- Establish Reckitt’s EU Government Affairs strategy and capability
- Collaborate closely with Global External Affairs colleagues, particularly government affairs leads in other regions, and key senior business partners across Reckitt’s businesses and functions such as e.g. Quality, Safety, Regulatory, Legal and Supply
- Build intelligence and understanding of business-critical issues by tracking, monitoring and advising on important changes in regulatory or legislative matters affecting Reckitt’s European markets
