Description:

The Head of Faculty Financial Reporting and Analysis role sits within the Finance Directorate at the University of Manchester working under the guidance of the Head of Faculty Finance, it offers an exciting opportunity for a highly driven, motivated and experienced leader to join the Finance team within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. This role oversees a large finance team of around 20 staff and a budget of £420m, within a Faculty comparable in scale to a medium-sized UK university.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our team as Head of Faculty Financial Analysis and Reporting, you will provide operational and strategic support on all financial matters across the Faculty.
You will be responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for your area of responsibility. This will include analysis of performance and highlighting remedial action where required. You will develop and continuously improve management information to assist Faculty/Directorate budget holders.
The successful candidate will be able to blend authentic, emotionally intelligent leadership within a large and complex organisational context, working in close partnership with academic and professional services colleagues at all levels and with peers and colleagues across the finance directorate, providing that important link between the Faculty and other areas of the Directorate.
You will provide leadership to a highly motivated and enthusiastic team, demonstrating a firm commitment to individual and team development alongside a provision of a high quality and responsive service and expert advice to the Faculty Leadership Team.
