Description:

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Coaching and influencing senior stakeholders, typically at Executive level, with diverse and competing agendas and aligning thinking to ensure efficient and effective Finance services.
  • Continually seeking to bring the ’outside in’ and use external insight to shape the strategic and operational priorities, as well as the operating model of the business.
  • Managing change - ensuring improvements are customer driven, taking account of corporate and divisional strategies, identifying, initiating, planning and implementing change.
  • Managing priorities and planning the most effective use of resource when there are conflicting demands on resource.
  • Understands the complexities of operational processes and strategic objectives across the Group and effectively communicates complex information to a wide group of senior stakeholders.This role has been identified as CF-2under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness & Probity regime. The successful candidate will be required to comply with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Standards on an ongoing basis. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE-

  • Member of a recognised accounting or actuarial body.
  • Experience in leading finance operations, ideally within the insurance industry but not essential, at a senior level.
  • A track record of delivering programmes of change, performance improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Proven financial governance and oversight capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management and experience of working in large group environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.A keen interest in the finance function of the future, experience of relevant technology and data infrastructure underpinning this.
