ABOUT MONIL

Monil is a young, yet experienced startup. It was started in 2022 by veterans from leading hardware technology environments in Prox Dynamics/Teledyne FLIR, Cognite and Silicon Labs. Scalable technology with global reach were in our DNA from the beginning. Since then, the team has grown to include a broader set of skills in software, marketing, farmer success and sales.
Our first product is an electronic collar that lets farmers monitor and virtually fence their cattle. This saves the farmer a lot of time, money and headache that would be spent looking for animals and maintaining fences. Additionally, our product will contribute to improved soil health, increased production, improved animal welfare and radically change how farmers manage livestock.
Monil has solid backing from FIRDA, Innovation Norway and a range of smaller investors. We have been field testing our first product with pilot customers for two years, and we are preparing to deliver commercial products to customers this spring. There is a huge and proven market potential for this product and Monil is well positioned for global growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Master in finance, business or equivalent education (i.e. MBA)
  • Proven track record of success in accounting/controlling/finance field
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting
  • Experience and passion for HR-management
  • Proven negotiations skills
  • Proven ability to oversee and assess key value drivers to ensure optimal commercial performance and strategic alignment

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Work closely with the CEO and the management team to formulate vision and strategy, and drive the company in this direction with metrics, results and operating models
  • Finance: Overall accountable for all financial activities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company’s growth and long-term financial goals
  • Support the company’s fundraising efforts, oversee cash flow, and manage the company’s capital structure
  • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including forecasting, accounting, and internal and external financial reporting
  • Business operations: Responsible for general business operations and administration
  • Drive business operations and improvements, including facilitating contracts, and business processes
  • Ensure compliance with law and company’s policies
  • HR: Responsible for overall HR-management including recruiting, benefits, employee appraisals, internal communication and culture
