Description:

Your responsibilities

  • The Head of Finance EMEA is responsible for leading the EMEA finance team at OEKG and across all sub-regions in EMEA, e.g. for business partnering to EMEA business units as well as EMEA functions, delivering customer value and drive for results. This role is grounded on proximity, business and finance expertise, advance analytics, interpersonal maturity and organizational savvy. Delivering best in class planning, closing, budgeting, forecasting and performance management activities with a focus on products and market trends to drive superior business decisions. As voting member of the EMEA ExCom as well as Sales & Marketing management team, the Head of Finance EMEA drives senior management decisions and is supporting to steer Olympus EMEA from a financial point of view. As part of these responsibilities, the Head of Finance EMEA also ensures Olympus EMEA achieves its targets and financial goals, also by managing the finance department budget in-itself.The position directly reports to the EMEA Executive Managing Director and is a central part of the EMEA senior management. As part of the global matrix, the Head of Finance EMEA also is a key member of the global finance team and supports transforming the Olympus finance department.
  • Be the interface between finance, business units, functions and senior management both inside of EMEA and towards global Olympus
  • Be an active member of the EMEA ExCom and Sales & Marketing management by deciding on key relevant topics relevant for the overall company steering in Olympus EMEA (also outside of finance content)
  • Driving company growth initiatives as well as Olympus’ transformation towards a pure MedTech player
  • Takes responsibility for managing actively the talent in the finance area fostering people development, diversity and job rotation
  • Designs a finance organization around business and customer proximity to ensure a “state of the art” business partnering
  • Being the Head of Finance Business Partners has updated and qualified business insights about the different BUs, is accountable for the planning process and supports the BUs with financial know-how
  • Takes responsibility for business results by driving the Business Steering Governance (PDCA): transparency, traceability and accountability (in alignment with EMEA Biz Governance model)
  • Ensuring budget control and achievement of financial goals for Olympus EMEA and for the finance department in-itself
  • Plays a key role in terms of informal leadership by activating the matrix combining and mediating vertical/BU perspectives with horizontal/cross BU/Regional customer needs
  • Is an agent of data-driven analysis by endorsing advanced analytics/reporting and a comprehensive business overview covering lagging and leading KPIs in alignment with the EMEA initiatives
  • Provide meaningful and actionable insights / commentaries / advice / recommendations on historic financial performance and future opportunities of current and potential products and market trends to division
  • Deliver timely financial analysis and business counsel to effectively measure business performance against strategic priorities. Identify key risks and opportunities for improvement of financial performance
  • Support mid- and long-term planning, forecasting and analysis that produce accurate / achievable plans and forecasts, aligned with strategic objectives of the business

Your qualification

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, Master’s Degree in Accounting, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other professional certifications are preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a medtech finance environment, commercial finance experience highly preferred
  • 7+ years of management experience in a senior Finance role in a commercial finance role
  • Strong knowledge budgeting and financial forecasting, experience with financial reporting and analysis
