Head of Finance/Finance Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Finance Director on behalf of our client to join their team and lead the finance department. The Finance Director will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring sound financial decision-making across all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role in the real estate development industry.
• Strong background in finance and banking, with comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and controls.
• Solid understanding of real estate finance principles, including project financing, capital markets, and property valuation.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and ERP systems.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive business growth.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and promote financial integrity.
• Capital Management: Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing. Evaluate financing options, negotiate terms with lenders, and oversee capital raising activities to support business initiatives and expansion plans.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations. Optimize cash management processes and investment strategies to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
• Financial Governance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory agencies, to maintain transparency and accountability in financial matters.
• Leadership and Team Development: Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance staff, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
