What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Head of Financial Controlling WCE within our Finance division and is located in Prague.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team of 6 Financial Controllers, and for Financial Controlling activities within the Western & Central Europe region. You will be taking care of 3 business units: Shell, CCS and Travelcard, overall 10+ legal entities.
You will report directly to CFO WCE, and will regularly collaborate with Financial Controlling team, FPA, Tax Manager, and our Accounting teams – GL, AP, and AR - within our Finance Department.
How We Work

As a Head of Financial Controlling, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment (2 days home office vs 3 days in office presence). Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in our Prague office
  • Company-issued equipment: laptop, monitor, and accessories + remote access for the Home Office Days. You can also request an office chair and a monitor to set up your home office working place.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Coordinating and leading the month-end closing process within the WCE region. Ensuring the alignment between the local teams in CCS, SHELL, and TravelCard, cooperating and leading the process with the Financial Services team.
  • Preparing the Reporting Pack to group HQ, ensuring adequate reporting details and alignment to the group reporting policies and deadlines for WCE are met.
  • Ensuring the proper accruals and accounting estimates are prepared and accounted for.
  • Overseeing the Legal Entity (statutory) P&L preparation and its coherence with the statutory requirements. Cooperate with Financial Services and Tax Manager to ensure statutory P&L results compliance with Tax/TP regulations.
  • Cooperating with FP&A teams on the preparation of the annual OPEX/CAPEX Budget.
  • Ensuring the reliability of the figures internally and externally communicated.
  • Managing the reporting financial Master data (e.g. the setup of Cost Centers / Management Centers, GL accounts including its mapping) and maintaining and developing key controlling objects.
  • Cooperating with Financial Services team on the annual external Audit activities.
  • Cooperating with Financial Services team to ensure the SOX and Internal Controls compliance.
  • Managing the Financial Controllers dedicated to each Business Unit.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Knowledge of SOX, US GAAP, and Balance Sheet
  • Fluency in the English language is a must, and knowledge of the Czech language is a strong advantage
  • University degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of working experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles
  • People management experience and skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and new things
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong active listening abilities
  • Previous working experience in a US company is a plus
  • ACCA or SPA is a plus
