A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY

As Head of Strategic Procurement (f/m/d) Global Commodity Management “Components” for our Siemens Energy Business, you will be managing a global team and be responsible for the development of supply chain and procurement strategies (for Materials like Large Steel, Machined Parts, Castings, Forgings) and supplier relationship management to contribute to the success of Siemens Energy while creating additional value beyond classical cost-out.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • University degree in a technical or business-related field
  • Several years of experience in procurement related roles, especially in product or solution business (e. g. Commodity Management for Steel or Metals) or similar expertise in technical functions
  • Experience in related Industries e.g. Renewables, O&G, Energy utilities
  • Excellent Leadership experience and managing change
  • Capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures
  • Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a functional matrix environment
  • Change advocator, seeking for improvements
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • English language skills mandatory, German desirable
