    Are you a dynamic sales leader ready to spearhead a global sales strategy? My client, based in Melbourne, is seeking a talented and experienced Global Head of Sales to join their innovative team. They specialise in manufacturing and distributing diverse, practical, and innovative houseware products, both locally in Australia and internationally, with a strong presence in the US market.
    They are passionate about crafting innovative solutions that enhance everyday living. From kitchen essentials to smart home gadgets, their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction drives them forward. Products are showcased in major high street retailers, serving a wide consumer base worldwide.
    As the Global Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the global sales strategy and managing the sales teams across Australia and the US. Your responsibilities will include establishing sales objectives, forecasting annual sales plans, maintaining and growing sales volume and product mix, and building strong relationships with key retail stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales executive or management roles, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and accurately forecasting sales.
  • Strong analytical, commercial acumen, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and preferably Pronto ERP.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong leadership experience to motivate and manage a global sales team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans for each account and territory, forecasting sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Maintain and grow sales volume, product mix, and selling price by staying updated on supply and demand, economic indicators, and competitor landscape.
  • Establish selling prices, review the New Product Development pipeline, and align marketing strategies to meet annual unit and gross-profit plans.
  • Build strong relationships with retail stakeholders, collaborate on cross-territory opportunities, and understand market trends.
  • Effectively communicate the company’s value propositions, exceed expectations, and find solutions within an entrepreneurial culture.
  • Manage trade partner issues strategically, implement targeted sales strategies, and maintain accurate Account and opportunity plans.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a global sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
