HEAD OF GROUP FINANCIAL REPORTING, MARKETING SERVICES, CENTRAL LONDON, £80-85,000

We have a fantastic opportunity for a technical accountant to join a major network within marketing services. Working in partnership with another ‘Head of’, you’ll be responsible for the Corporate Entities.
You’ll be a proactive member of the leadership team, the role will take the lead in the coordination, review and delivery of statutory and group reporting. As Head of Reporting, you will actively participate in projects to develop the finance function as a whole and work with the Group Reporting Director in supporting the management across the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Financial Controllers on coordination, review and delivery of all elements of management reporting to deadlines across the network including group consolidations, working capital and cash flow forecast reporting
  • Act as technical lead on more complex areas of accounting and reporting
  • Review and sign off the financial reporting packs and balance sheet reconciliation files on a monthly basis to the S-Box deadlines
  • Proactively coordinate S-Box submissions including liaison with S-Box team
  • Co-ordination of requirements for aspects of external group audit
  • Work closely with the Financial Controllers on planning and execution of financial statements delivery for the UK entities including the reconciliation of US to UK GAAP
  • Technical lead on more complex areas of statutory accounts including consolidations and impairments
  • Co-ordinate statutory audit alongside Director, Group Reporting
  • Review of draft financial statements and workings
  • Drive standardisation in the financial audit and statutory accounts preparation process
  • Review tax pack calculations and drive process standardisation across all submissions
  • Provide technical guidance on non-corporate tax reporting including VAT and PSA as well as review VAT and PSA calculations
