As the Head of IT & Automation, you will step into a role of immense responsibility and opportunity. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will be entrusted with shaping the technological destiny of our organisation. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need more than just technical prowess with a broad range of knowledge and understanding across multiple software as well as the ability to learn bespoke solutions and project manage – you’ll need a blend of leadership, strategic vision, and a passion for driving change. With a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, backed by years of experience in senior IT leadership roles, you possess the expertise needed to navigate the complexities of modern technology.
Your ability to inspire and motivate teams, coupled with your knack for effective communication, makes you a natural leader who can rally colleagues around a shared vision.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within IT and automation, with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results ideally across some of the following softwares; Hubspot, MS Office, Jira etc, and implementing Netsuite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, and automation technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a SSOT strategic IT and automation roadmap aligned with the organisation’s long-term goals and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT and automation teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Oversee the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect organisational assets and data.
  • Champion the integration of automation technologies across various business processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Lead digital transformation projects, including the adoption of cloud services, AI, and machine learning, to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements related to IT and data security, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and manage the IT and automation budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives and operational needs.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT and automation projects, ensuring they meet defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
  • Lead change management efforts related to IT and automation initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption across the organisation.
  • Develop and provide training programs to enhance employee skills and understanding of new technologies and processes.
