Description:
POWER SOLUTIONS & VESTAS QUALITY > PRODUCT SOLUTIONS & INTEGRATION > LAC ONSHORE PRODUCT APPLICATION
As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, the Product Solutions & Integration (PS&I) organization is responsible for designing the product response to market roadmap requirements, translating product roadmap into module requirements with full value chain integration. Loads & Control (LaC) being part of PS&I, is responsible for designing and optimizing Vestas’ products for optimal performance, loads and control strategies.
As Head of LaC Onshore Products Application, you will be taking full responsibility to develop optimal loads and control solutions for product lifecycle applications utilizing the full potential of onshore turbines to improve their commercial efficiency. You will coordinate a global team of highly skilled engineers located across Denmark, Portugal and India. As a member of a LaC Management team, you will actively contribute to shaping the strategic direction for LaC, reporting directly to the VP of Loads & Control.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc. or PhD in Aerospace, Wind Energy, Computer Science, or related Engineering fields
- Proven experience developing teams in an engineering environment
- Previous experience with extensive stakeholder management
- Familiar with project management principles e.g. Prince2, and agile methodologies
- Knowledge about relevant industry standards and regulations is an added value
- Previous experience in modelling or control design applied in the context of wind energy aerodynamics, aeroelasticity & structural dynamics is an added value
- Previous experience on identifying & working with competitiveness indicators for onshore products is a valuable plus
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate and develop a team of Loads & Control engineers
- Responsible for delivering Loads and Control solutions for onshore products lifecycle management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure product offerings meet the high-quality standard of Vestas and are aligned with organizational goals
- Ensure high-quality delivery leading wind industry best practices, on schedule and within budget
- Act as primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders in the context of Loads and Control solution for Onshore Products application
